Wike, Ortom and G5 governments celebrate PDP NEC meeting results (video)

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Integrity Group, also known as G-5, on Thursday celebrated the outcome of the party’s National Executive Committee NEC meeting.

The Federal Capital Territory Minister of FCT, Mr. Nyesom Wike, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, former Governor Samuel Ortom, former Governor of Abia State, Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu, and Mr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State are the NEC of the party. They were seen celebrating the results of the meeting. In Abuja.

The PDP on Thursday held its 98th NEC meeting at its national headquarters in Abuja, attended by most of the party’s stalwarts.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP has passed a vote of confidence in the acting National Chairman of the party, Umar Ilya Damagum.

This was disclosed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, in a statement.

Prior to the emergence of Damagum, Iyorukia Ayu was the acting national chairman of the PDP until he was removed in the run-up to the 2023 presidential election.

Damagum's support for Wike's camp is widely known, which led to a celebration among G5 governors.
