EPL: Man United likely to play in the Europa League next season – Ten Hag
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted that his side are likely to qualify for the Europa League next season.
Ten Hag spoke to BBC Match of the Day after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Burnley.
United took the lead in the 79th minute through Anthony, before Zeki Amdouni equalized with a penalty.
As a result, Ten Haags team is in 6th place with 54 points, with 4 games remaining.
United are 12 points behind Aston Villa, who occupy the last Champions League spot.
Ten Hag was asked whether Europa League participation was the most likely possibility, and he replied: “Yes. It's not easy to be in fourth place when you're so far behind.
“We needed to win. In recent weeks we have been getting into winning positions and then giving it up. The margin is too big at this stage of the season.”
