Three boys gang rape 14-year-old girl in Delta community
Three boys have reportedly gang-raped and defiled a 14-year-old girl in Otor-Udu community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
The incident occurred on Monday, March 18, reports DAILY POST.
The suspects fled the house before police and human rights activists arrived to arrest them.
It turned out that the victim was on her way home from school when one of the boys called her, claiming to be Brolian, a known face in the neighborhood, and the victim went to meet him. Then two other boys, Dixon and Takebweb, allegedly dragged her into the house. , gangbanged her and defiled her.
It was also learned that the victim was rushed to Otu Jeremi General Hospital where a medical report was issued proving that she was defiled and raped.
However, the victim is still bleeding and is receiving treatment.
The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, confirmed the report. “They said the matter has been reported but the suspect is at large,” Police Public Relations Officer DSP Bright Edafe said in a telephone conversation with our correspondent.
“They can run, but they cannot hide,” said human rights activist Kelvin Ejumud, who denounced rape and acts of corruption by the three boys.
He called on the president of the Otle Udu community to stop solving the rape case and hand over the suspect to the police for prosecution.
“Unfortunately, they fled the house before we arrived and are currently on the run,” Ejumud said.
He added: “It is time for the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Tobore Obolewwori and the Delta State House of Assembly to enact tough laws against rapists in the state and act as a deterrent to other criminals.” added.
