Comedian Bill Maher has condemned the sexualization of children and pushed to expose them to drag and trans ideology, warning that the “tribal” nature of American politics is causing people to abandon the longstanding consensus that “exposing children to a grown-up world of lurid costumes and make-up is bordering on to abuse.”

Maher finished the satirical segment “New Rules” on his HBO show “Real Time” on Friday asking his audience if they had watched the new documentary “Quiet on Set,” which detailed what he described as “the child stars of their day being subjected to blatantly inappropriate, highly sexualized . degradation” on the children's programming network Nickelodeon.

He said the revelations exposed in “Quiet on Set” spread quickly in Hollywood because “it not only exposed a dangerous workplace, it also exposed hypocrisy.”

The comedian connected the concerns about the sexualization of children highlighted in the documentary to contemporary political issues that have dominated the headlines in American politics. “When the evil governor of Florida said the exact same thing about kids and scary things at Disney that liberals now find intolerable at Nickelodeon, he was dismissed as a villain and a bigot,” he said.

Maher was referring to Republican Governor Ron DeSantis' cooperation with the state Legislature to revoke the special tax status granted to the Walt Disney World Resort in his state after its parent company spoke out against a bill requiring school officials to refrain from discussing issues related to sexual orientation and gender. identity with children in kindergarten through third grade.

“Why would a children's content factory like Disney be so different from the one at Nickelodeon?” asked Maher. Noting that a 2014 CNN report detailed how “at least 35 Disney employees have been arrested for sex crimes against children,” and that former child star Cole Sprouse claimed that young actresses at Disney were “highly sexualized,” Maher asserted that “DeSantis was not. not is wrong.”

Maher spent the rest of his monologue condemning the sexualization of children, which extends beyond Hollywood and industries that directly cater to children, specifically calling out “Instagram moms … who pretty much just fan their little beauty queen daughters by making them wear skimpy bikinis and eat bananas. to help them build social media stardom.” He called these parents “prostitutes”.

“People who believe in social justice have agreed that this is wrong and that is bad and exposing children to a grown-up world of racy costumes and make-up borders on abuse,” he said.

Maher suggested that such individuals have recently abandoned this principle: “Hurry up and get in the car. We're late for drag queen story time.”

While Maher emphasized that he does not believe there is “something wrong with being queen,” he asserted that “maybe it's time to admit that sometimes the queen's story is more for the queen than for the children.”

Maher added, “If you want children to be more tolerant, why not have disabled people read them stories? Children are more likely to meet disabled people than queens in life.”

“The awakening is no longer an extension of liberalism,” he continued. “It more often than not takes something so far that it becomes the opposite. Teaching children not to hate or judge those who are different? Excellent. Proudly we got there. All for that. But at a certain point, inclusion becomes promotion.”

After sharing his opinion that children are “swimming idiots” who “will believe anything and just want to please adults,” Maher warned that “talking endlessly about sex to 6-year-olds isn't just inappropriate, it's the law. would call a trap, which means to entice people to do something they would not normally do.”

In response to those who don't think there's a catch when it comes to “sex in schools,” Maher suggested they must “not be watching enough TikTok videos.”

Maher played two videos of teachers who work with children at unspecified grade levels, discussing or demonstrating how they display their LGBT activism in the classroom. He cited those teachers as examples of “a certain kind of activist these days who wants to take heterosexuality: old school, old-fashioned, boring, looking after their own commercial heterosexuality, and conflate it with patriarchy and sexism and racism and tell kids 'wouldn't' . wouldn't it be nice if you were something else?'”

While Maher identifies with the political Left, he can express doubts about certain aspects of progressive orthodoxy in the past. He recently went viral for admitting abortion was “kind of” murder on “Real Time” last week, insisting he was “OK with it.”
