Project: Wike praises contractor for keeping his promise
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has commended contractors handling various projects in Abuja for keeping their promise to deliver projects by May 29.
Wike presented the award on Saturday after inspecting some of the ongoing projects across the National Capital Region.
The minister recalled that President Bola Tinubu had promised Abuja residents that he would inaugurate a number of projects to celebrate his first year in office.
“I am completely satisfied. This is a promise made and a promise kept.
“We went down the Southern Parkway from the Christian Center to Loop I while being executed by Setraco. The project is almost 98% complete.
“We went to the Outer Southern Expressway from Villa Rotary to Ring Road I while undergoing CGC.
“You'll agree it's just a thing of beauty. The landscaping is stunning and the project is 98 percent complete.
“We went to the vice president's official residence, which is run by Julius Berger, and the company assured us that all the furniture and other equipment was ready and final touches were being made. ” he said.
From the Vice President's residence, the Minister inspected the B6 and B12 roads at Independence Avenue, executed by Julius Berger, and company officials assured the Minister that they were ready for opening in May. did.
He also toured the N-20 Northern Parkway to the Outer Northern Expressway in the Jahi area and was executed by Gilmore.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the project, saying it was almost 99 percent ready.
He similarly expressed confidence that the Wuye viaduct project and Guzape road project are also ready for commissioning.
“I would like to thank all the companies who have kept their promises. They have promised to commission all these projects by May.
“I'm very impressed. This is money well spent. The New Hope agenda is alive,” the minister said.
He said the success recorded in less than a year was due to the full support of President Bola Tinubu.
He further added, “We are doing our best to complement the efforts of Tinubu, who has provided us with everything we need for our work. We strive to ensure that all support does not go in vain.” ”
