Lyon agrees N12.6b fee to sign Super Eagles striker Gift Orban from KAA Gent
French club Olympique Lyonnais are set to sign Super Eagles striker Gift Orban from KAA Gent.
As reported by French sports daily L'Equipe, the French giants are set to sign the Nigerian striker for around 13 million euros (approximately N12.6 billion in Nigerian currency) and he will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the club until June 2028.
Orbán, 21, named CAF Young Player of the Year in 2023, has been one of the most sought-after players since joining Gent in January 2023.
He scored 27 goals and provided two assists in 38 games in the first six months to lead Gent into UEFA competition.
Before moving to Gent, he played for Norwegian side Stabæk, where he scored 19 goals and provided seven assists in 24 appearances.
