“I was lined up for execution” – Gospel singer Buchi talks about his near-death experience


Nigerian reggae egospell musician Buchi Atuonwu has recalled how he was miraculously saved from execution by firing squad.

The singer revealed that he was in line to be executed along with others, but was miraculously saved, vowing to serve God if He saved him.

In a recent interview with Channels TV, Buchi revealed that he has been involved in vices and as a result is in line for execution.

he said: My music is somewhat different from that of a nightclub DJ, college lecturer, member of a church choir, and involvement in campus fraternities, drug abuse, and youth violence. It has to be different. Influenced by this background, he also had the intention of bringing about change.

“So all those adventures led me to stories that fostered the kinds of songs I put out. Gun abuse, violence. I recently published a book titled 'My Weed And I.' did. It talks about how cannabis can affect the mind of a growing child, and indeed an adult.

“At one point in my life, we were lined up for execution. The people who were going to execute us were already kneeling in front of us, preparing to fire. I called out to the God I knew, “If you save me, I will serve you.'' I don't have time, so I'll just say that he saved me from that firing squad. please. And I dedicated my life to serving Him. ”
