Hatton advises Joshua to beat Fury after overcoming 'mental block'

Campbell Hatton believes Anthony Joshua is back to his best and will beat Tyson Fury on his current form, reports talksport.com. AJ had a stellar performance knocking out Francis Ngannou called in the second round of his most recent bout on March 8th in Saudi Arabia.

In December 2023, he stopped Otto Wallin in similarly commanding fashion, earning him accolades for his second consecutive appearance.
He is currently on a roll under new cornerman Ben Davison, and his days of despair, which saw him lose twice to Oleksandr Usyk, are completely behind him.

Fans are now starting to put Joshua back in the fight against British rival Tyson Fury, with some even suggesting that Joshua is now the “best heavyweight in the world”.

But Hatton, who will be back in the Central Area title match against Jimmy Joe Flint on March 23, believes he has to give the edge to A.J. at his current form.

“He did what he had to do against Ngannou,” Hatton told talkSPORT.com.
“Physically I don't think AJ lost anything, but he always had a little bit of a problem mentally, he was gun shy and had a hard time letting go.

“I was so excited to see (Ngannou’s KO). He was fighting with so much confidence and seemed to have gotten over his mental block. I think this move to Ben Davison was great for him. .

“I've always said if he comes to his senses he'll come back and it looks like he's done that. Based on his current form, I'd have to say AJ wins over Fury. .”
