Groups warn of influx of pastoralists into Adamawa

Authorities in Adamawa State have warned of a large influx of cattle herds into Cherenzi, a local government area south of the capital Yola.

Speaking at a press conference in Yola, the Adamawa State PAD Chairman, Mr. Vidon Jaure, said the possibility of conflict had made it necessary to deploy more security personnel to the community.

“Such developments should be supported by appealing to agricultural and pastoralist communities for cooperative action against the crisis,” he added.
