Dispelling rumors of a reversal of the dissolution of the old management team under Dr. Tinuade Sanda, Eco Disco Board Chairman Dele Otubu has announced that West Power and Gas (WPG) and staff seconded from WPG issued a harsh statement reiterating its withdrawal. An interim leadership team has been established, led by Acting CEO Rekiat Momo.

“Contrary to the misinformation being spread, none of the WPG staff have returned to Eko Disco. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has declared that any action taken by the board will be null and void. “We have not done so,” Otubu declared.

“Following the withdrawal of the WPG secondee, all staff in acting roles will continue to work, including Acting CEO Rekiat Momo.”

“To be clearer, the reason for the withdrawal of WPG seconded staff is to enable the process of direct employment of qualified staff at Eko Disco. They will have working conditions and be under the same salary structure,” Ortub said.
