Suspected herdsmen have attacked Ugbobi community in Apa LGA of Benue State, leaving many villagers dead and several injured, it is feared.
DAILY POST reported that residents had abandoned their homes and assailants were destroying them and looting food items.
Eric Amodu, a native of the community, lamented that the attack has continued for over two hours with no security personnel present to counter the attack.
He said: “Two hours have passed since this morning's attack began and still no efforts have been made by the security forces. It is a clear conspiracy.”
