Latin American faith leader Rev. Tony Suarez will host revival events at the border this week and next.

“We tried politics, we tried protesting. We tried to champion the cause. Now we go back to what we know works: prayer, fasting, coming before God and just knowing that He is truly the only hope that our nation and our southern border have,” Suarez told CBN News.

Suarez, the chief operating officer of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) and founder of Revivalmakers, will lead revival events in Texas March 21-23 in El Paso and March 27-29 in McAllen, as well as strategic prayer stops in Presidio, Laredo, Eagle Pass and Brownsville.

The NHCLC, the largest Latino faith-based organization in the U.S., recently launched a campaign focused on immigration reform and voter mobilization leading up to the 2024 elections. The immigration plan calls for an end to illegal immigration and securing the border, rejection of the use of the US military for deportations, a path to legal status without amnesty for undocumented immigrants, and a streamlined sponsorship process to help immigrants enter the world of work to facilitate, and other measures.

Suarez is the second American evangelist to hold events in U.S. border towns this year. Earlier this month, Franklin Graham preached in 10 communities along the southern border, from Brownsville, Texas, to Chula Vista, California. Graham reported record responses to the gospel.
