AFCON: We are ready for you – Ivory Coast star Fofana warns Nigeria’s Super Eagles

Ivory Coast midfielder Seko Fofana has said his team is ready to face Nigeria's Super Eagles when the two sides clash on Thursday night in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). I warned you.

Fofana, who scored his first goal of the competition against Guinea-Bissau last Sunday, said Ivory Coast need to work hard for a win against the Super Eagles.

Speaking on CAF's official website, the Al Nasr star said: “We know how decisive this game is. Nigeria want to win this game and they are a very big opponent.

“We're ready, there's no doubt about that. It's up to us to go out there and try to win.”

Ivory Coast currently lead Group A with three points after one game, while Nigeria are in third place with one point.

Kick-off time for the match is 6pm Nigerian time.
