AFCON: “I don't agree with anyone” – CAF gives Osimhen a new name
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has described Victor Osimhen as the Lion of Africa.
The football body also used the popular 'Whom? I also disagree.''
DAILY POST reports that Nigeria defeated Cameroon 2-0 in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 match on Saturday.
Ademola Lookman scored twice in the first half and second half to give Nigeria a famous victory over the Indomitable Lions.
Victor Osimhen broke free and fed a pass to Lookman, whose weak finish skimmed the line to give the three-time African champions the lead.
CAF posted a video of Napoli's star celebrating after Nigeria's opening goal and wrote on his official X handle: “African Lions don't agree with anyone!” Ginger-o-pol! No retreat, no surrender. ”
Nigeria will face Angola in the quarterfinals.
Angola had earlier defeated Namibia 3-0 to advance to the last eight.
