Zamfara: “I will win 100 reruns” - Governor Lawal

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has expressed confidence that he is not afraid to run for re-election as governor and said he will face the election with confidence.

The governor said this while addressing a crowd of supporters at the state PDP secretariat in Gusau, the state capital, upon his return from a foreign trip.

“I am very optimistic that even if there were 100 elections, we would definitely come away with a landslide victory.

“We are satisfied with the court’s judgment and are always ready to contest the election with the All Progressives Congress, APC and governorship candidates in our hometown,” he said.

He said that Allah has already appointed him governor of Zamfara state and has ensured that he will remain so no matter what the opposition APC members and other hypocrites do.

“We have made a good start by paying civil servants all their entitlements and also paying the WAEC and NECO fees that the previous government rejected.

“We have also resolved the issue of water scarcity and started construction of a town road in Gusau town, the state capital.

“We have announced a state of emergency in the education sector. By the grace of God, we will save the nation from collapse.

“They are not satisfied with the many achievements we have made in a short period of time,” he declared.
