World Bank project office in Yobe catches fire

The Damaturu Coordination Office in Yobe State of the Multisectoral Crisis and Reconstruction Project (MCRP), a World Bank-supported program, has been gutted by fire.

According to witnesses, the fire broke out at around 12:40pm on Sunday at an office on Potiskum Road.

At the time of writing this report, there has been no official statement from the Coordination Office regarding the cause of the fire outbreak.

It took the efforts of firefighters from the Yobe State Fire Service to extinguish the raging fire.
