Ozokwah spoke in a recent interview, the clip of which was shared on Tiktok by KWS Nigeria.
She said, “Some of us (actors) are paid well, but before you get this disease, no one will help you because you have a lot of money and That’s because everyone thinks they are.” And you’re managing it (the disease) with your family. And when you’re in a hospital bed, no one will pay you anymore. Because when you are healthy, you can make movies and make money. Due to my illness, I was unable to work for a long time, and all my savings were used up.
“And you know, we are spendthrifts by the nature of our work. The clothes you wear matter to the world. We call it packing. The way we packaged ourselves. The worst. The thing is, we can’t even repeat expensive clothes. These end up costing us a lot of money. And people will pounce on you and see your face everywhere, so you won’t have to pay a lot of money. I feel like I have. I know how many people came to this house today asking for help.”
