Why 2023 was a quiet year for me musically - Fireboy

Nigerian singer Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has explained why 2023 has been a relatively quiet year for him musically.

Following the release of the hit song “Peru” and its remix version with British superstar Ed Sheeran, the singer, who has been a remarkable success worldwide in 2021 and 2022, said, “This year is one of the necessary years for artists. “It’s one,” he said. To grow up and come down from all the madness.”

In a recent interview with What & Else, Fireboy said: “2023 was a year of learning and growth for me as a person and as an artist.

“I’m really grateful for the journey. When people tell me to be grateful for the journey, I think this year was that year for me.

“Sometimes it’s okay to step out of being an artist and realize that you’re human too.

“I have real life, real problems, just like anyone else. And this year, I really learned to appreciate all those things.”

He said he barely had enough time for his personal life last year. “But this year has been pretty quiet for me, so I’ve been spending more time with his family at his home in Lagos, Nigeria.”

He said his hit song “Peru” changed my life and took me to so many places at once, but this year has seen the artist grow up, step back from all the craziness and just live life. He added that this is one of those years where you need to have fun. Appreciate life as it is. ”
