What did we do to the politicians who stole our billions?

One Ephraim Ukam has chided Nigerians who are quick to lynch petty thieves but hail politicians who steal billions of Naira.

He stated this after a mob attacked a man for allegedly stealing cod, achi and grinding machine in Calabar., Cross River State.

According to an eyewitness, Natty Chris, the suspect was arrested on the morning of Saturday, November 25, 2023.

“Thief caught this morning in Edim otop crescent. He stole oporoko, achi and grinding machine, Mata leaving,” wrote Natty.

Reacting to the incident, Facebook users begged him to plead with the crowd not to resort to jungle justice.

“The young man was hungry and needed to talk to calm his stomach. Please show him some mercy and give him food to eat. What did we do to the politicians who stole our billions? Absolutely nothing. All we do is greet them and sing to them whenever they appear. It’s so bad,” Mr. Ukam wrote.
