We are proud of Mr. Atiku, he is a lesson in leadership – PDP celebrates 77-year-old former Vice President
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has hailed its 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on his 77th birthday.
The PDP described Mr. Atiku as a typical humanitarian leader whose love for Nigeria is unwavering.
PDP spokesperson, Debo Ologunagba, said the opposition was proud of Atiku’s record of service to Nigerians.
Mr Ologunagba’s statement read: An outspoken administrator and a courageous statesman, he remains steadfast in his love and commitment to Nigerians and to the unity, stability and development of our dear country.
“Our party acknowledges Mr. Atiku Abubakar’s achievements in the service of our country, especially his ability and ability as Chairman of the National Economic Council under the Obasanjo/Atiku-led PDP government from 1999 to 2007. We are proud of having achieved unprecedented national productivity in all sectors and growing our economy into one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
“His role at the National Economic Council helped the administration achieve massive infrastructure development, massive employment and business opportunities, among other initiatives that made the PDP era in power a golden age for Nigeria. Always recognized and admired.
“Nigerians of all persuasions recognize that Mr. Atiku Abubakar is the embodiment of national unity and hope for economic recovery, and he has received overwhelming support in the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections. Unfortunately, that commitment was overridden by repressive and exploitative policies and powers.
“Atiku Abubakar is a lesson in leadership. Despite his lofty personality, he remains humble, friendly and approachable to all, especially the youth. He is a lesson in leadership. It continues to demonstrate that the essence is to look out for the interests, well-being and well-being of others rather than one’s own.
“But if his mission had been destroyed, our country would have been in a state of economic prosperity, great prosperity, rather than the hardships, collapse of the naira, and general reversal that we are witnessing in this country today.” We would have been on the path to massive infrastructure development and employment opportunities.”
