“We are following the benevolent character of President Tinubu” – Rivers APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State said it aims to show that it is possible to have a government that is passionate about the underprivileged.

The caretaker chairman of the APC in the state, Tony Okocha, made this statement when the party visited mother and baby homes and old age homes in Port Harcourt, the state capital, with gifts.

Mr. Okocha told reporters: “We are under the Bola Ahmed Tinubu government and he is known to the world as a very caring person. And of course, that is what we as leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State have to say to our people here in the state. We intentionally tried to share with poor families, elderly homes, and orphaned babies.”

Okocha said the group's visits to poor families would reignite their hope.

Furthermore, he said: “We need to show that it is possible to have a government that shows compassion for the less fortunate. And we also need to show that we can do better if we have the opportunity to take control of government and hold it accountable.” I pray that.”

He advised wealthy people in the state to extend support to both elderly care facilities and single-parent homes.

This is happening amid Nigeria's economic downturn.
