Uzodinma and his South East friends block the release of Nnamdi Kanu – younger brother of IPOB leader

The family of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has identified those who are blocking the release of the Biafra agitator.

Kanunta, the younger brother of the IPOB leader, said Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and some friends in the southeast were “blocking” Kanu from being released.

In a post on X, Kanunta wondered why President Bola Tinubu allowed Uzodinma to block Kanu's release.

According to Kanunta, “@Govhopeuzodinma is the one who is stopping #MaziNnamdiKanu from being released from the DSS dungeon along with some of his friends in the South East. My question to @officialABAT is that Governor Uzodinma is the Is it Mr. President or is your government profiting from the insecurity in the Southeast?'' Who is your head of security? ”

Kanu is being held in custody by the State Department, DSS, on the orders of the Nigerian government.

He has been imprisoned since 2021 following his arrest in Kenya and unusual deportation to Nigeria.

Upon his return to Nigeria, the Court of Appeal released and acquitted the IPOB leader of all charges brought against him by the Nigerian government.

However, the Supreme Court overturned the decision and ordered the Federal High Court to try the case again.
