UEL: Forget about winning the Treble – Carragher tells Liverpool after Atalanta defeat

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher will play in the second team when they face Atalanta next week and has advised manager Jurgen Klopp to prioritize the Premier League from now on.

The Reds were defeated 0-3 by the Italian team in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

This left Jurgen Klopp's side with a huge mountain to climb in the second leg.

Klopp was hoping to leave Anfield with the treble, as Liverpool have their eyes set on the league, the Europa League and the Carabao Cup, which they have already won.

But Carragher, writing in X on Thursday, believes their chances of winning the Europa League are all but gone.

“Liverpool's result and performance were terrible. The only consolation for such a bad loss is that Jurgen played the entire second team in the second leg and gave his all in the league match!''

With Arsenal in first place and Manchester City in third, the Reds are in the middle of a three-way title race.

The match continues to be tense, with both teams winning by just one point.
