Troops neutralize 7 bandits, arrest other suspected criminals and rescue 15 victims in Kaduna and Plateau

Operation Security Forces (OPSH) on operation HAKORIN DAMISA IV neutralized 7 robbers, recovered arms/ammunition and 33 suspects in connection with kidnapping, murder, arms dealing, criminal attacks, bath vandalism, cattle rustling and farm destruction.

The official media of the OPSH, Captain Oya James, who announced this in a statement on Tuesday, said that several significant forces were evicted between 13 to 20 November 2023.

“On the 13th of November 2013, the forces acting in a last-off, arrested Mr Suleiman Mohammed in possession of one AK 47 rifle and a mobile phone, in Bakin Kogi area, Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State,” the statement read.

Also, on November 13, 2023, five suspects were arrested in connection with the criminal attack on Mr Sati Pewat on his farm at Tileng Paat village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State.

In a development report, on November 14, 2023, the team conducted a raid operation in Tileng Paat village in Pushit area of ​​Mangu LGA, Plateau State and looted one Umurana Adamu in possession of AK 47, one magazine and 9 rounds of 762mm special. .

Similarly, on November 14, 2023, soldiers acting on credible information arrested a suspected arms dealer, Mr Rufai Abdullahi in Kamuru area of ​​Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State.

On the 14th of November 2013, the fighting forces in the area with the bandits in the high ground of Kachallah encountered them and with superior fire power, resulting in the neutralization of 6 bandits, while the others escaped with gunshot wounds.

The troops are still searching the area and recovered one AK 47 rifle, 2 magazines, 52 rounds of 7.62mm Special, one motorcycle, 2 Tecno phones, 2 packs of cigarettes, 56 rounds of 7.62mm Special and 112 rounds of 7.62mm NATO.

In another development, on November 14, 2023, the forces declined the suspected bandit, Musa Wada during a search operation at Kondo village.

Additionally on November 14, 2023, troops responded to information about a suspected attack in Tileng Paat village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State.

A timely response team repulsed the attack and the area was later controlled by the patrol. In the same vein, on November 14, 2023, raiding forces conducted raids on the hideouts of the kidnappers at Biji Biji in Hawul street and arrested the suspected kidnapper, Dahiru Ibrahim. Items recovered from the suspect included one AK 47 rifle, one magazine and 3 7.62mm special rounds.

Also on November 15, 2023, the OPSH Tactical Team in conjunction with the Department of State Services apprehended two notorious arms dealers, Abdullahi Ali and Ibrahim Hussaini while on a trip to Zamfara State to deliver large amounts of ammunition to bandits.

During the arrest, a total of 504 rounds of 7.62mm special, 100 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 3 rocket-propelled grenades and accessories were recovered. Other items recovered from the suspects include 3 mobile phones, a Ford Galaxy (Sharon’s vehicle) and a Zenith ATM card.

Furthermore, on November 15, 2023, the usual security forces arrested 3 suspected impostors, Mohammed Abdullahi Bazambade, Musa Mairali and Umar Mohammed.

The suspects were caught in military camouflage at the Mansuldal Guest Inn and fake USD1300 US Dollar notes and military jackets were recovered from the robbers.

Also, when the Sector 1 team responded to a distress call from New Foro Jos, they arrested one Awalu Ibrahim of Rikkoks with a dark bag containing 19 bags of military camouflage. The suspect and the recovered item are in custody for further investigation.

On November 18, 2023, forces at Makera Checkpoint in Riyom LGA of Plateau State arrested 4 ranks of vandals, Cosmos Eze, Abdullah Saidu, David Boyi and Dashe, Peter Daniel in possession of 30 pieces of sleeper rail tires in a Peugeot Boxer vehicle.

The suspects are now undergoing interrogation. Similarly, on November 18, 2023, the forces on credible information arrested wanted criminal Lukman Aminu at Tafawa village in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State.

On November 19, 2023, the forces arrested two suspects, Gyang Yohanna and Agwom Gyang Zi at Zot Foron village in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State with one AK 47 rifle and one empty magazine. Similarly, on Nov. 19 23, the OPSH Military Team in a joint operation with the DSS arrested two notorious arms dealers, Thomas Pam AKA Oga and his associate Yakubu Gyang at Mangu LGA, Plateau State. Items recovered from the suspects include 101 rounds of 5.56mm (Tavor), 2 mobile phones and a black Mercedes Benz 190.

“In all, a total of 33 suspects have been arrested for various crimes within the last week. 5 for capture, 6 for treatment in arms, 2 for murder, 4 for bathing, vandalism, 2 for rural destruction, 7 for extermination of robbers. Additionally, 15 kidnap victims were rescued, 3 attacks on vulnerable communities were deterred and 8 distress calls were promptly responded to “read the statement”.
