Traders Beg for Mercy as Lagos State Government Seizes Their Ware Displayed Along the Highway (Video)

The Lagos State Government on Friday, January 5, seized goods displayed by traders along the highway.

A video shared online showed traders begging for mercy as their goods were confiscated.

Posting the video online, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, wrote;

“We cannot be emotional about inspection. We have warned several times that traders should stop displaying or selling things on walkways, in setbacks or on the main road. This disfigures the city and especially for people's safety.

On Friday, special operatives of KAI/LAGESC again evicted street traders operating on Agege Motor road, Old GRA Secretariat Ikeja, Awolowo way, Alausa Secretariat, Agidingbi Jakande road into LTV 8, Ojodu Berger, Fagba road.''
