Tinubu takes oath as NPC chairman at FEC meeting


President Bola Tinubu on Monday swore in Olayinka Oladunjoye as the Federal Member of the National Population Commission (NPC).

The swearing-in ceremony preceded the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House, Abuja.

Prior to his appointment as President, Mr. Oladunjoy was a former Commissioner for Education, Commerce and Cooperative Societies in Lagos State.

He replaced Mr. Bimbo Salle Hudein, who was recently appointed by the Lagos State Government.

Upon taking office, Mr. Oladunjoy pledged to work with all stakeholders, especially in the technology sector, to achieve a better data-driven census.

Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, Tinubu was presiding over this week’s FEC meeting, which was also attended by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF George Akume. Presidential Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Director of the Federal Civil Service Dr. Folashade Emi Esan, Cabinet members and other government officials.
