Three people have died while fleeing from a kidnappers' den in Kogi State.

Sen Sunday Karimi, the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday night.

He called on the Kogi State Commissioner of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to address the security situation in Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area of ​​the state.

The lawmaker lamented the poor security situation in Isanlu, stressing that six people had been kidnapped within 48 hours.

“Three people also lost their lives trying to escape from the kidnappers' den in Idfin and Isanlu.”

Senator Karimi, however, commended the governor’s efforts to ensure safety of lives and property in the state.

He further called on the Commissioner of Police and the head of the DSS to take necessary measures to curb the spate of kidnappings in Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area of ​​Kogi State.
