Taraba murder: CAN demands arrest of perpetrators

The Taraba State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on the government and intelligence agencies to take immediate and decisive action to arrest the perpetrators of recent murders in the state.

The call was made following the killing of a farmer by suspected Fulani bandits in Yantu Development Area of ​​Taraba State on Friday.

In a statement on Sunday, CAN called on authorities to spare no effort in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

A statement personally signed by the state chairman, Pastor Isaiah Magaji Jilapye, expressed strong condemnation of the “inhuman and despicable act”.

The association stressed the urgency of a thorough investigation to identify those behind the attack and hold them accountable.

While calling for peace in the affected communities, CAN stressed the importance of cooperation with security agencies and urged residents to provide relevant information that would help in the speedy arrest of the perpetrators.
