Tanker truck explodes in Ojota (video)

A diesel tanker caught fire at the Ojota inner interchange in the early hours of Monday morning, December 4th.

The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) through its official account on X. It added that its personnel had been deployed to the scene.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed the incident, adding that the flames had been brought under control.

“The situation in Ojota is under control as the peddler truck carrying Diesel to Ketu that caught fire has been extinguished,” the post on X read.

At the time of this report, the cause of the explosion, as well as the level of casualties, remain unknown.
