Suspected killers kill doctor and kidnap his daughter in Kwara

Gunmen suspected to be killers have killed a doctor identified as David Adefikayo, Medical Director of Dafikayo Clinic in Kanbi community, Moro Local Government Area of ​​Kwara State.

It was learned that the armed men invaded the residence of the deceased at around 8:30 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023, and shot him dead in the presence of his wife and children.

It was learned that the doctor's appeal to the armed men to collect money and other items fell on deaf ears.

The attackers also kidnapped one of the daughters of the murdered doctor, Christiana Adejoke Alabi, 23 years old.

The incident caused shock and sadness in the community, as the late medical expert was a respected figure who contributed significantly to local healthcare.

Spokesperson of the state police command, Ejire Adeyemi-Adetoun, confirmed the incident.

“They killed the doctor and kidnapped his 23-year-old daughter during the incident,'” the PPRO said.

“The DPO and other agents invaded the bush in search of the criminals. I will give more details later,” Adeyemi-Adetoun added.
