Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been nominated for the 2023 Nottingham Forest Fans Footballer of the Year award.

Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been nominated for the 2023 Nottingham Forest Fans Footballer of the Year award.

Awoniyi has been one of Nottingham Forest's key players, scoring 10 league goals to help Forest survive the drop last season.

The former Liverpool striker, who has been out for months, scored four goals in 10 Premier League games for Forest this season.

His impressive performance at the start of the season, where he scored in three consecutive games and also provided an assist, earned him a nomination for the Player of the Month award for August.

For the 2023 Supporters' Footballer of the Year award, Awoniyi was nominated alongside Orel Mangala, Danilo and Morgan Gibbs-White.

The winner of the award will be decided by fan votes.
