Student and another killed as bandits attack LG headquarters in Zamfara
Bandits have reportedly killed two people during an attack on Kaura-Namoda town, headquarters of Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
It was established that the bandits invaded the city at around 9pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2023, shooting sporadically.
The attack reportedly forced residents to flee in search of safety.
A resident of Kaura-Namoda, Ismaila Kaura, who confirmed the incident to Channels TV, said two people, including a student identified as Ni’ima who was on her way to Islammiyya school, were killed during the attack.
The other resident killed during the attack was identified as Garzali Abubakar.
Kaura added that Nigerian army troops sent to the city engaged the bandits in a gun duel and forced them to flee the city.
