The Nigeria Premier Football League Board has fined Sporting Lagos N1m for security breaches.
Sporting Lagos were sanctioned for failing to provide adequate security during Sunday’s Round 9 match against Heartland.
The encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos ended in a 1-1 draw.
Sporting Lagos must pay the fine within 14 days or risk further sanctions.
Clubs were ordered to put in place effective match-day security and organize a re-orientation program for supporters.
The NPFL Board also ordered the club to put in place an effective match day security plan to avoid a recurrence.
The Humble Club has 48 hours to appeal this suspension.
