Singer Kelly Clarkson 'relieved' after paying her final $115K child support payment to ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

American singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson is reportedly relieved after making her final $115,000 child support payment to ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

A source told Us Weekly of the 41-year-old singer: “Kelly is feeling relieved that her spousal support for Brandon has come to an end.

“She has been ready for this for some time and is very happy that her payments to Brandon will be completed. It's so good to know that this chapter of her life can end with the new year.

The person close to Clarkson added that “Kelly is seeing this as a fresh start and she couldn't be happier to have a clean slate in 2024.”

The former couple met in 2006 and had been married for almost seven years when the pop star filed for divorce from Blackstock, 47, in June 2020.

After the divorce was finalized in 2022, Clarkson was ordered to pay $45,000 per month in child support; daughter River, nine, and son Remington, seven.

Blackstock also received $115,000 a month in child support until January of this year.

In November 2023, a California labor commissioner ruled that Blackstock “illegally” booked jobs for Clarkson, including signing her contract as a judge on The Voice, while working as her manager, as only agents can secure positions for talent, according to with court documents obtained by TMZ.

Blackstock also charged fees for other endorsements, such as Wayfair and Norwegian Cruise Line, in the amount of $2,641,374 per outlet.

The labor commissioner ordered Blackstock to pay his ex-wife back commissions that include $1.98 million for her gig on The Voice.

It has been reported that Blackstock's legal team plans to appeal the ruling.
