“Shooting Stars were careless” – Coach Ogunbote after losing to Lovisters

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, blamed his team’s loss on carelessness.

Oluyole Warriors lost 2-1 against Lobi Stars at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.

Waheed Adebayo gave Lobi Stars the lead early in the game, and Gideon Monday tied it for Shooting Stars before the end of the first half.

Orji Kalu converted a penalty five minutes into the game, sealing Pride of Benue’s victory.

Ogunbote said it was unfortunate that the team could not pick up any points in the match.

“In the match, in the worst case scenario we deserved to get one point, but unfortunately the result went the other way,” he said in the post-match interview.

“We were a bit careless with the penalty, but we’ll take the positives from the game and move on.”

Shooting Stars currently occupy third place in the table.
