Shakira's lawyer claims she could have saved £100million if she 'married Sergio Ramos instead of Gerard Pique' after tax case

Singer, Shakira’s lawyer has blamed her ex-husband, Gerard Pique for his tribute, saying that he saved 100 million with his rival, Sergio Ramos instead.

Pau Molins told her 11-year romance with the retired Barcelona footballer led to her against six tax fraud charges for three.

After agreeing to the final deal on Monday, November 20, the lawyer claimed that Spain’s tax law is equal for all people.

He said that the residents of Madrid, where Ramos played, because Real Madrid do not pay tax resources, unlike the residents of Catalonia, where Shakira lived with Barca ace Pique.

Mr Molins said:

“Shakira fury costs 120 million European coins”.

“If Sergio Ramos had fallen in love with Gerard Pique instead, it would have cost him much less.

“Yes, they are advancing the equality of all Spaniards, but it turns out that if you are staying in Catalonia, you can go to prison for a crime that Madrid could not imprison you, even if you are the same, because there are no census resources.

Mr Pau also insisted he wanted to go to trial, saying: “I thought we might have won”, but Shakira said he had decided to make a deal.

He went on to defend his client, saying: “With international artists, it’s very difficult.

“Where do they live if they spend their whole lives traveling? In 2011 Shakira toured the world and visited 74 countries.

“It is very complicated to determine where to pay taxes.”

Shakira admitted six counts of tax fraud in court in Barcelona and agreed to pay $7 million in a plea deal to avoid jail time.

He also said that he has received his Milanese expenses for ten and Sasha for 8, and so he can move at his own pace.

In a statement released by her representatives, Shakira’s lawyers were confident that she would win the case, but opted to avoid a lengthy trial.

The singer said;

“Throughout my career, I have always tried to do the right thing and set a positive example for others.

“When I had decided to defend my innocence in court, because my lawyers were confident that I had reigned in my grace, I finally decided to settle this case with the best of my children’s hearts, who do not want to see their mom sacrifice.” I wish her well in this battle.

“I need to move past the stress and emotions of the last several years and focus on the things I love – my kids and all the opportunities I have going into my career, including the upcoming world tour and the new album, both of which I am extremely excited about.

“I greatly admire those who have fought these injuries to the end, but for me, today, my time is winning for the kids and for my career.”

The prosecution’s case revolves around whether Shakira was a resident of Spain or the Bahamas between the beginning of 2012 and the end of 2014.

It started with Gerard Pique in 2010, but he says that initially he did not live with him in Barcelona and that he was not staying in the tax office.
