Shaibu apologizes to Oshiomhole, says his ambition to become governor is sacred

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr. Philip Shaibu, has apologized to his political leader and former Governor, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole for his past choice of words during political disagreements.

But Mr. Shaibu said his desire to succeed his Chief Governor, Godwin Obaseki, as the next governor of the state stems from a sacred belief in serving the state and restoring governance to the people. He emphasized.

Mr. Shaibu made the remarks in a live interview on a commercial television station in Lagos that was monitored in Benin City. Despite his strained relationship, he said his decision not to clash with his boss was to avoid using language that would come back to haunt him in winning election to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He said: “Before publicly declaring my interest in the contest, I consulted extensively with many persons and organizations within and outside Edo. Additionally, I prayed for divine direction and direction.”

Regarding past disagreements with Oshiomhole, Mr. Shaibu expressed regret over his choice of words, apologized to Mr. Oshiomhole, and expressed his determination not to repeat such mistakes.

“I regret the words I used during our disagreement. The only thing for which I have apologized and will continue to apologize to Adams Oshiomhole is the words I used. I do not want to repeat the same mistake. '' said Scheib.
