Serie A: “Osimhen is a great man” – Napoli manager Mazzarri

Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has praised the club’s goalkeeper forward, Victor Osimhen.

Mazzarri will take charge of the Serie A champions for the first time on Saturday against Atalanta, replacing Rudi Garcia last week.

Osimhen has recovered from a hamstring injury sustained in last month’s international match and is expected to be named as a substitute.

The new manager met the Nigerian striker for the first time last week and has high hopes for him.

“We will have time together. We will play every three days, so we will have time to talk to everyone,” Mazzarri told Football Italia.

“Osimhen is a great guy. He was cheerful from the first moment. He is a big-hearted guy who sacrifices himself thinking about winning. He is getting back into shape and I am happy. ”

The 24-year-old has scored six goals in eight league appearances for the Partenopei this season.
