Security concerns: CDS promises to continue joint military training

CDS Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, has assured adequate synergy and sustainable joint training for the Nigerian Armed Forces to combat insecurity in the country.

Mr Musa said this at the conclusion of the second Mugun Bugu 2023 exercise in Kontagora, Niger State.

“The Nigerian Air Force has been integrated to provide air power and support to ground forces to achieve this objective,” the CDS said through its Director of Doctrine, Maj. Gen. Jal A. Jimoh.

He charged the military with the need to be patriotic and dedicated to the mission, while appreciating resilience to expand professionalism.

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taored Lagbaha, represented by Director of Training Forces, Major General SG Mohamed, called on the trainees to utilize the knowledge gained in addressing security insecurity in various regional challenges in the country.

The COAS further added, “The 2023 Mugun Bugu training exercise demonstrated a genuine commitment to creating a highly versatile and intellectually sound military professionalism in the country.”
