Police were called to the scene at 10am on Monday after reports of a dog loose in the area. Upon arrival, they found a lifeless body that had died from gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigation indicates that Tyler Young, who was found dead nearby with a 9mm gun, was the perpetrator of this gruesome murder-suicide.

Lorain Police Lt. Jacob Morris said the tragedy likely occurred between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, and no gunshots were reported in the area during that time.

Tyler Young’s struggle with schizophrenia was known to his family, who described him as “battling demons inside.” Earlier this year, Tyler faced domestic violence charges from Schuyler for assaulting him when she was 26 weeks pregnant. Schuyler later retracted his statement, but Tyler’s struggles with his mental health continued.

The Young family’s tragedy has left the community shocked and saddened. Angel Isaac, a student at Horizon Science Academy, is remembered as a bright and vibrant soul. The school expressed its deepest condolences and offered support to students and staff dealing with the emotional aftermath.
