BREAKING NEWS: Mr. Hubala calls emergency EXCO meeting after 27 MPs defect to APC

River Crisis: Join me and win peace – Hubala begs

Governor Siminalai Hubara of Rivers State has appealed to all disgruntled factions in the state to join hands with him to spread peace.

Hubala said unity was needed because lack of peace would lead to a divided nation.

This came amid a rift between him and Federal Capital Territory FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Mr. Hubara was speaking on behalf of his deputy, Mr. Ngozi Odu, yesterday at the Ogoni Day celebrations in Bori Town, Khana Council.

“Therefore, I would like to ask everyone to join hands and let peace prevail throughout the state, because without peace there will be unnecessary division.” We don't need that now.

“We are not kidding against every parliament in the senatorial district where Ogoni is a major bloc. Therefore, bringing development here is a top priority of this administration.

“You know we have been talking about power and security on Ogoni land, and these are the government’s top priorities.”
