Reverse: APC reveals about Tinubu handing over party structure to Wike

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Management Committee in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha, has downplayed claims that President Bola Tinubu has handed over the party establishment to Minister Nyesom Wike of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. .
Mr Okocha said Mr Tinubu would not hand over the party structure to Mr Wike as he was not a member of the APC.
He said Mr Wike had not indicated any intention to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Okocha said this on a live radio show in Port Harcourt on Monday.
“If you are talking about the alliance, I have worked with Mr Nyesom Wike and continue to work with him.
“The matter of handing over the party to Nyesom Wike. He is not a member of APC for crying out loud and everyone knows that he is a loyal founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“He has boasted many times that he has received a lot of benefits from the PDP and was in no hurry to leave the party. I am not aware; he has not told me or anyone I’m not even talking about it.
“Of course, he is not the kind of man to hide such decisions from Nigerians. If Wike wants to join any other political party different from the PDP at any time, Nigerians will hear it. Probably.
“Therefore, as we speak, he is a loyal member of the Peoples Democratic Party. Anyone who thinks the President is handing over the APC establishment to PDP members would be missing the point.”
