Recruitment activities: Chikawa CP guarantees transparency for applicants


Jigawa State Police Commissioner Ahmadu Abdullahi has assured applicants for the position of police constable cadre of transparency.

Mr Abdullahi gave this assurance in a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Lawan Shiisu in Dutse on Sunday.

He warned officials dispatched to the exercise not to collect money from applicants, their families or anyone else.

He completed the online recruitment registration exercise for the Police Constable Cadre (General Duty/Specialist Officer) and said that applicants who received the invitation via email will be able to attend at the Police Headquarters in Dutse from January 8 to January 29. He said he will proceed to a scheduled physical exam and eligibility review.

“This exercise is free and has no financial obligations, and the process will be conducted in the best traditions of transparency and accountability.

“Applicants are also advised to be careful as online fraudsters, fraudsters and other criminals may be attempting to use this process to deceive you.

“Those found deficient during the exercise will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly,” the CP warned.

The CP states that successful applicants must present a clean white T-shirt and shorts, a recent passport photo, evidence of physical and mental health from a government-recognized hospital, and a letter of goodwill from a traditional ruler or village. He added that they should present themselves at police headquarters with proof of their good character. The applicant's district director.

Others included National Identification Number, NIN, original and copies of credentials, birth certificate/age declaration, printout of application form, duly completed guarantor form, invitation letter, etc.

According to him, candidates who cannot present any of the aforementioned requirements will not be considered for consideration.
