Police crack down on Imo Monarch killer
The Imo State Police Command has announced that it has set up a strong investigation team to nab the perpetrators of the murder of the Oturu Ammara traditional ruler in Eze-Jo Bentu-Othuror in Ezinihitte Mbaise Council Area of Imo State.
DAILY POST recalls that gunmen (who have not yet been identified) abducted the king on Saturday, but his body was later discovered on Sunday.
Following this unfortunate incident, the Imo State Police PORO Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, told reporters in Owerri on Monday that the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has ordered that all steps be taken to ensure the arrest of the culprits. He said he did.
“The PPRO said the CP vowed that the command would do everything possible to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous crime were apprehended and faced the full wrath of the law.
“Therefore, the CP has set up a strong investigation team and ordered us to crack down on the perpetrators with all our might.
“CP is appealing to the public to remain calm and cooperate with police by providing any useful information that will help arrest the suspect.”
