Police arrest Kano governor’s aide and another for allegedly diverting palliatives

The Kano State Police Command has arrested Tasiu Al’amin-Roba, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abba Yusuf, and one Abdulkadir Muhammad for alleged embezzlement of state palliatives.

The Commissioner of Police, Hussaini Gumel, advised the News Agency of Nigeria in an interview on Sunday, December 3, that the suspects had been arrested at a warehouse in Sharada with over 200 empty baggage.

The CP mentioned that the suspects had been repackaging rice and corn on the native warehouse.

“We have since started an intensive investigation to find out how many bags of corn or rice were repackaged and sold,” he mentioned.

Gumel added that the 2 suspects will probably be charged in court docket after the completion of discreet investigations.
