Police arrest 55 people on suspicion of kidnapping and armed robbery in Jigawa

Police in Jigawa State have arrested over 55 legal suspects on suspicion of kidnapping and armed robbery.

The Jigawa State Police Commissioner, Ahmad Abdullahi, disclosed this whereas briefing reporters on the achievements of the police drive in the previous 10 days since assuming workplace.

Abdullahi mentioned the suspects embody 25 suspected thieves and vandals, three suspected kidnappers, 10 suspected armed robbers and two suspected human traffickers.

The others embody 10 suspects of automobile and bike theft and three suspects of cellular phone theft.

The command mentioned it recovered three domestically manufactured firearms, 4 automobiles, six bikes, N3.65 million in money and 9 Android cell phones.

Other recovered objects included 32 cows, 5 sheep, destroyed armored cables and wires, sesame, millet and groundnuts valued at N450,000. 261 dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp. and Exol 176 tablets.

He mentioned the suspects could be delivered to court docket after the investigation was accomplished.
