Plumptre explains Super Falcons absence
Super Falcons defender Ashley Plumpter has revealed why he continues to be sidelined from the crew.
Saudi middle again Al Ittihad has not performed for Nigeria since showing within the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Questions have been raised about Plumptre’s exclusion by interim head coach Justin Madugu.
The former Leicester City participant insisted it was a private resolution for the nine-time African champions to not play for now.
“Yes, I think it was a break. As I said earlier, I will not be able to participate in the next camp, but it is a personal decision while taking care of my body,” Plumptre stated in an interview with Nigeria Football.
“But at the end of the day, I just want to have fun with the team. It’s a privilege. And I want to be in good shape to play in important games.”
She appeared in 15 video games for the Super Falcons.
