Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has vowed to remain focused on implementing development projects in the state despite the Court of Appeal’s ruling that the March 18 elections were inconclusive.
Lawal said this while addressing a group of party members in Gusau shortly after his return from Abuja.
He urged his supporters to remain calm and abide by the law, saying the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would win even if the re-election was held across the state.
“There’s nothing to worry about. We know people voted for us before and they’re still ready to vote for us again.
“Our resolve to rescue the state remains unchanged as evidenced by the number of development projects underway in the state.
“Our aim is to change the narrative of socio-economic development,” he said.
Meanwhile, acting state PDP Chairman, Mr. Mukhtar Ruga, commended the party faithful who came out en masse to welcome the governor.
He said the rally showed love and loyalty towards the state government.

The three-man committee, led by Justice Oyebisi Folaemi and assisted by Justices Cordelia Ifeoma Jombo-Ofo and Sybil Nwaka Gbagi, nullified the reinstatement of Mr. Lawal (PDP) as winner of the governorship election. did.
The court ordered new elections to be held in three local government areas where no elections had previously been held or the results of the various voting bodies had not been tabulated.
