PDP, LP in coma, will die within 3 years – Primate Ayodele
The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Chief Elijah Ayodele, on Friday said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Labor Party are at risk of collapse if they do not act to save themselves.
Chief Ayodele described the current state of the opposition forces as comatose, saying that if they do not merge, they will disappear within the next three years.
He said the only way to save both parties from impending death was a merger, otherwise they would continue to lose relevance in the country’s political atmosphere.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele said: “PDP and the Labor Party are already in a ‘coma’ state and will be ‘buried’ within three years if they do not merge.” There are forces that are bothering them, but they don’t see it. They need to fight spiritually before they fight politically.
“The only thing that can save the main opposition parties is a merger of the Labor Party and the PDP. Otherwise they will be forgotten by the next election. Otherwise, 10 million Atticus will not be able to do it and Obasanjo will just keep yelling until he is called home.”
Regarding the PDP in particular, Chief Ayodele noted that it would become a forgotten party due to the defection of its active members to the ruling party and the betrayal of the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Abubakar Atiku. He said there are three factions of politicians in the party who fight for their own interests.
“If we are not careful, the PDP will become a forgotten party. If we are not careful, this government will render the party powerless. Currently, the majority of the party members are looking for survival. Atiku will face more betrayal than ever before in this dispensation, but they will still fight him. The PDP has already become three factions fighting for their own selfish needs. Governors will be misled. Some of these PDP members will still leave the camp.”
Ayodele’s remarks come at a time when PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has called for him to join the opposition against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the run-up to 2027.
Mr. Atiku said the consolidation of the opposition parties was necessary because the APC was trying to reduce Nigeria to anarchy and a one-party state.
