Oshoala, Nadoji and Waldrum shortlisted for 2023 CAF Women’s Award


Nigeria’s Super Falcons duo Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadoji and head coach Randy Waldrum have been shortlisted in various categories for the 2023 CAF Women’s Awards.

Oshoala and Nnadoji are among the 10 finalists for the Women’s Player of the Year category.

Nadozier is also one of the final five players in the Goaltender of the Year award.

Waldrum, the Falcons’ American handler, is in the top five for Coach of the Year.

In the women’s young player category, Nigeria will be represented by Deborah Abiodun and Opeyemi Ajakai.

Nigeria will also compete against Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Zambia for the National Team of the Year award.

The winners in each category are determined by voting by a voting committee consisting of the CAF Technical Committee, media professionals from member associations, head coaches and captains from member associations, and clubs participating in the group stages of the inter-club competition. Masu.

The Awards Gala will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Mövenpick’s Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.
